There is a lot of discussion in regards to how corporations, and public organizations should be involved with philantrophy and the arts.  And while there are a lot of reasons to encourage philanthropy to support the arts, I entitled this Arts and Philanthropy because as an artist, i see myself as having a responsibility to help others through my own philanthropy. In plain and simple terms, i empower myself as a artist to contibute to the greater good and not just the other way around.

I believe as an artist, we do have the ability to provide philanthropy to others through our work, our identities as artists.
